Metros worst hit by inflation

As told by my one of the friend in response to my previous blog about inflation, the current inflation in the market is because the real estate prices are to rise. Among metros Kolkata is worst affected by inflation. The consumer price index (CPI) for the country as a whole moved up only 6% in March , lower than the wholesale price-based inflation, as per data released by the Central Statistical Organisation. Home budgets have seen huge increases in March as prices of vegetables oils, milk products and cereals rose sharply. The only respite for consumers has been on the fuel price .

Wallet Wallop-in times of slowdown

Indian Economy may be down, but certainly not out. Even as software biggies are doling out less generous hikes this year, FOREIGN INVESTORS have reaffirmed their faith. Faced with a challenging business environment in the wake of the US subprime crisis, software mojor Oracle has pared annual salary hikes while IBM is cutting employee perks. The average salary hike at Oracle India is down to about 7-8%, dipping to 5% in some cases. On the other hand , IBM India is attacking fringe benefits offered to its middle management-it has withdrawn the free-housing(on lease) facility recently. The question comes why? Answer is lower work orders from US, which in the midst of a slowdown -turning into recession due to subprime lending crisis.

Prices are rising exponentially day by day. What can the common man do. Survival is becoming a challenge. Fruits like banana which any one could afford purchasing is costing Rs. 24 per dozen. Take any commodity, may it be oil, or pulses or any vegetable, cost has increased. What should be done, what are the steps government taking. Can anybody answer.

Add your own URL to Google

You can make your own website and publish it in the World Wide web. You can add and update new sites to Google index each time Google crawl the web, and they invite you to submit your URL there. They do not add all submitted URLs to there index, and cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear. Only the top-level page from a host is necessary; you do not need to submit each individual page. There crawler, Googlebot, will be able to find the rest. Google updates its index on a regular basis, so updated or outdated link submissions are not necessary. Dead links will 'fade out' of the index on the next crawl when they update the entire index. So keep on updating your website regularly, to avoid from getting fadded out. So to add now visit www.google.com/addurl
